Rigid Discharge Electrodes

SEI's patented RS opti-charge electrode is a virtually unbreakable rigid discharge electrode. In service for over 25 years, the RS opti-charge electrode is a 3/4 inch diameter, 16 gauge, aluminum killed, mild steel roll, formed shape with split corona generating elements welded to it. The elements are also 16 gauge and are fully annealed to eliminate fatigue cracking. The RS electrode exhibits a low corona onset voltage typical of a pointed discharge electrode, making it an exceptional choice in inlet fields with high dust loading, or in newer units with wider plate spacing. The RS opti-charge electrode provides the most uniform corona distribution of any rigid discharge electrode available to allow your precipitator to operate without the detrimental effects of space charging.
Laboratory tests and commercial operation have shown this design to have a unique combination of:
- Low corona onset voltage,
- High sparkover voltage,
- High field strength
- Even current distribution from discrete emissions points
As a more rugged replacement for your current "spike-and-tube" design, or as an upgrade from weighted wires, you can depend on SEI's RS opti-charge electrode for excellent mechanical stability and dependability; versatility and cost effectiveness.
Insist on the Original and Never Settle for Less
Many precipitator manufacturers try to copy the SEI style rigid electrode, but it's easy to separate the originals from the rest. SEI's RS and LS Electrodes have:
- Equally spaced, dual tip emitter sources, assuring equal corona over the entire length of the electrode.
- Cantilevered suspension of the emitter arms away from the center support. Dust cannot build up and cover the discharge parts.
- Over 25 years of experience and over ten million linear feet of electrode in successful operation.
- Demonstrated Performance!
