Electromagnetic rapper
The correct balance of rapping intensity, duration and frequency is essential to optimum precipitator performance. Inadequate cleaning of discharge electrodes and collecting plates is a leading cause of poor precipitator performance, resulting in increased sparking, reduced power to the precipitator and higher emissions.
Designed for reliability and minimal maintenance, SEI's Electromagnetic Rapper is solenoid-driven: an electric solenoid lifts the plunger, which returns by gravity to initiate impact.
Other features include:
Improved one-piece potted-coil design for less mechanical stress on windings and longer rapper life. To absorb shock, the copper wound coil is encapsulated in epoxy compound.
- Twenty pound plungers with stainless steel laminated ends to eliminate magnetizing.
- 120 VDC or 240 VDC coils available.
Lower Flange is welded to the housing to provide a one-piece component for more accurate alignment and level adjustment, and improved coil life.
