Challenge: 

Remove existing stack and tie in new ESP via duct and expansion joint in 12 hours.

 

Southern Environmental’s Solution:

Southern Environmental, Inc. provided a new state-of-the-art S3 ESP with high frequency power supplies using SEI-ELEX electrodes.  The ESP is designed with wide plate spacing, top rapped system, seven foot penthouse and a screw conveyor material handling system.  The SEI design, using the high frequency transformer, is cutting edge application for biomass boiler ESPs. SEI has been on the forefront, utilizing this technology in applications, since 2002.

Scope of Work:

Southern Environmental, Inc. provided detailed engineering, material supply, fabrication, construction, start up services and physical model study, inlet flange to stack, conveyor systems, structure and foundation.  The ESP is a single chamber, three mechanical field (in direction of gas flow) precipitator.

0.023 lb/mmBTU with one field out of service.
