Santee Cooper Cross Station CCR Upgrades P2 - Pineville, SC
Challenge:
Perform installation of CCR and ELG equipment consisting of an under boiler Bottom Ash System, remote conveyor systems, fifty thousand feet of pipe, pipe racks, structure, Waste Water Treatment (WWT) plant and associated electrical systems. The under-boiler work was initiated immediately after award. A major part of the project was the supply of support steel, piping, valves, pipe supports and specialty items. This project is being built as the system is being designed requiring a true team approach to execution.
Southern Environmental’s Solution:
SEI hit the ground running as soon as the project was awarded. Due to the short lead time, orders for critical path material were placed within days of receipt of the contract. Subcontracts were issued for electrical, refractory, insulation, civil, structural supply, and demolition. Pipe supports were fabricated in–house to control the time sensitive delivery.
